Air Mending

Different flow conditions and small obstacles in the water it is very easy to deal, in which you put a bow in the fly line. This process is also referred to as "Air-Mending". The string always describes the way we define it with the limbs and tail. An absolutely straight casting motion always follows a clean stretched fly line. If one of the tail a lateral impulse, that is a slight lateral movement to the left or right, are in the charge movement, then this is reflected back as a bow in the line.

Depending on the intensity of the pulse of the sheet is larger or smaller. The timing of the pulse is responsible, whether the arc is closer to the rod tip, or rather at the end of the fly line. The earlier you set it, the further forward is the bow.
For the inexperienced fly fisherman at first it's easier to start from a nearly horizontal angle work ("Side Cast") and put the bow on the side of the Rutenarms. Projectile motion pulse and can be carried out on the same plane.

If you go to both sides in a accusation movement lined up several sheets together, the result is another special cast, the Snake Cast or "Paddle Cast". Even with this litter you can enable the fly a draft-free drift in overlapping water currents.
